Mardive

We support the Marine Protected Areas of Cascais, Mafra, and Sintra, as well as environmental education.

In partnership with Mardive and João Kopke, we created the mini-series Listening to the Sea, which explores an extraordinarily rich ecosystem — one that contributes in countless ways not only to the sustainability of our planet, but also to many aspects of our daily lives.

No Bully Portugal

We joined No Bully Portugal’s initiative to fight Cyberbullying.

ActivoBank partnered with No Bully to help combat Cyberbullying. Learn more about No Bully and this partnership in this video.

Between March and June 2023, 11 ActivoBank employees and 8 students took part in a training program focused on combating and raising awareness about Cyberbullying. The sessions, promoted by the Bank in partnership with No Bully Portugal, equipped participants with techniques they later applied in awareness actions at schools in the Porto and Lisbon areas.

Ocean Alive

Our blue is also green with Ocean Alive

We partnered to help preserve one of the seagrass meadows in the Sado Estuary — the Base-Ferry Meadow. Learn more about Ocean Alive and this partnership in this video.

With ActivoBank’s support, the entire Base-Ferry Meadow was mapped, allowing us to assess the level of degradation in each area and to catalogue both the seagrass species and some of the animal species that inhabit this ecosystem. Following this phase, a restoration plan was put into action. Several awareness initiatives were also carried out with the local community, involving both Clients and Employees. A sign was placed near the meadow to help introduce it to all visitors in Tróia.
