Withdrawals

On the MB WAY menu, select the option "Withdrawal" and choose the amount. At the ATM simply enter the generated code.

Payments

To pay, simply move your phone closer or read the QR Code, or create virtual MB NET cards, for your online purchases. For security reasons, some purchases with MB NET Cards need to be validated in the App. For Cards created through the ActivoBank App, the validation must be done in the same App.

Digital shopping safer? 3D Secure

When you make an online purchase with your Card, you will receive a notification to approve the purchase in the App. This level of security, which is mandatory for all EU merchants, is designed to verify that the Internet payment is being made by the cardholder. ​

This system is available on all ActivoBank Cards and is linked to the phone number registered with the Bank.

When will I receive the Pre-paid Card?

The delivery time of your Pre-paid Card depends on how you open your Account:​ ​

  • If you open your Account online, via Digital Mobile Key or video call, your Pre-paid Card will be mailed to you within 15 days.​
  • If you open your Account at an ActivoBank Branch, your Pre-paid Card will be issued and delivered immediately.​

Can I use the Pre-paid Card as soon as I receive it?

You will need your PIN code to start using your Card. ​

  • On the App: on the home page there will be a notification. Click it and follow the steps.​
  • On the Website: Daily basis > Cards > More Operations > Activate Card.​

You'll receive the PIN code through SMS on the phone number associated with your Account. Before you make the first payment with your Card, go to the ATM and consult your balance or movements to activate the Card.​

How can I top up the Pre-paid Card?

On the App, choose the card and then select "Top up Pre-paid Card".

On the website, login, select Pay > Top up Pre-paid Cards.

What kind of transactions can I perform with the Pre-paid Card?

With your Pre-paid Card you can make payments, withdrawals and online purchases in Portugal and abroad.

Can I transfer the balance of the Pre-paid Card to my Current Account?

Yes. For safety reasons this operation is performed through our Support Line (+351 210 030 700). This operation has associated costs. Consult our price list.

What should I do in case my Card is stolen or lost?

Just talk to us on the Support Line +351 800 913 700, available 24 hours a day and at no cost. ​

How do I validate 3D Secure transactions? 

To validate 3D Secure transactions, you need to ensure that you have:

  • Internet access via mobile data or Wi-Fi;​
  • Notifications are enabled in the ActivoBank application. You can confirm this by logging in to the App, selecting the "More" section and managing notifications under configurations.​

At the moment of online purchase:​

  • Enter your card details and wait.​​
  • You will then receive a notification from the ActivoBank application. Click on it.​​
  • Follow the instructions to validate the payment.​
  • At the end, it's important to go back to the merchant's website or App to complete the purchase.​
