How can I close an ActivoBank Account?

To close an Account at ActivoBank, you can do so via the App in More Menu > Accounts > Close Account.​

You can request the closure of Accounts with 1 or 2 holders (both must have a Multichannel Code).​

It is mandatory to read and accept the closure conditions.​

Remaining balance:​

  • Transfer to IBAN (Portugal or SEPA)
  • Cheque letter to the registered address (only if in Portugal)​

If you have an Account with 2 holders:​​

The 2nd holder receives a notification and has 30 days to accept or decline. If accepted, they also read and accept the conditions and validate via SMS.​​

After confirmation, the request will be reviewed.​​

You can also close the Account at an Activo Branch, where all holders must be present to formalize the request.​
