How do I know which method will be used to authenticate a purchase?

After inputting the card details on the merchant’s website, the necessary type of authentication is shown: SMS authentication, where you must insert the code sent to your phone via SMS, or through the Bank’s Application (App). In the latter case, if you have notifications/push notifications enabled, you will receive a push, informing you that there is a transaction waiting for authentication. You must click the push, log-in and confirm the transaction’s authentication.
If you don’t have the notifications enabled, you should log-in and access the Notifications area (by clicking in the bell situated in the upper right corner of the screen) or click the banner at the top of the app screen. In the end, it is essential to return to the merchant’s website or App to conclude your purchase.
