How can I open an Account?
You can open an Account online (via App/Website) or at an ActivoBank Branch.
Online Account openings are only available with one holder. To open a joint Account or to include holders on pre-existing Accounts, you must go to one of our Branches.
What is the promotional code and where can I enter it?
The promotional code is an alphanumeric code provided on the campaign's conditions, that identifies the partnership with the Company, through which the Employees are eligible to access the preferential conditions (example: WSX123456).
For online Account openings (via App/Website), the promotional code is entered when you start the Account opening process and must be filled out with small letters and no spaces.
When the Account opening is on-site, at ActivoBank Branches, the promotional code must be given.
I'm already an ActivoBank Client. Can I access the campaign?
Yes. The campaign includes a set of advantages for current Clients, from which you can benefit by indicating your promotional code whilst contacting the Bank. You can do it through our Support Line or at an ActivoBank Branch.
I already was a Client when I started working for the Company. Can I access the campaign?
Yes. The campaign includes a set of advantages for those who already were ActivoBank Clients. In case your Client file isn't updated, you can do it by contacting the Bank. Don't Forget to mention the promotional code so that the advantage(s) from the ongoing campaign you wish to enjoy is/are applied.
I opened my Account during a previous partnership and I already benefited from other advances. Can I benefit from the current campaign too?
Yes. According to the ongoing options and if they are cumulative with the previous advantages from past campaigns you benefited from.
If I don't fill out the promotional code during the Account opening can, will I still be able to access the campaign?
Yes. It will imply authorization, after contact with our Partnership Managers. You must mention the code from the campaign you intend to benefit from and make sure it's still on the validity period of the preferential conditions.
If I open an Account with my underage son/daughter, can I still benefit from the campaign?
No. The campaign is valid only for Clients over the age of 18.
I don't have a Portuguese Identification Document (other nationality). How can I open an Account and benefit from the campaign?
You can open an account in our branches or via video call in our app (if you have a residence permit* or a passport). See what documents you need here.Important: Only the latest Residence Permit Models are accepted.
As a 2nd holder of a Current Account can I access the campaign?
No. The campaign is exclusive for 1st holders of ActivoBank Accounts.

*Campaign valid from 07/01/2024 to 04/30/2025 exclusively for clients who opened an Account with the promotional code starting from 01/01/2024 or for current clients who request access to this benefit (request via email with confirmation response). Offer of 12 months of Account Maintenance fee waiver, worth 8,99€/month for AB Premium Plan and 3,99€/month for AB Plus Plan, for Clients who, for two consecutive months, have domiciled a salary of €1,250 or €750 respectively, or make monthly credit transfers of €2,500 or €1,250, respectively. Subject to the Client subscribing to the respective AB Plan in the account where the salary is domiciled during the campaign period and limited to one offer per client. If you have already benefited from a previous promotional code campaign by having domiciled your salary, you are not eligible to receive another offer. Campaign is cumulative with other ongoing salary domiciliation offers.
1 - Cashback on household expenses 2% refund on AB Plus Plan and 3% on AB Premium Plan on direct debits in the Current Account, authorized for payments to Portuguese suppliers of water, electricity, gas and telecommunications, up to a maximum monthly amount of €100 on the AB Plus Plan and €200 on the AB Premium Plan in all expenses. Maximum monthly cashback limit of €2 for the AB Plus Plan and €3 for the AB Premium Plan. The cashback amount will be credited to the Current Account at the beginning of the month following the applicable direct debits. Direct debit means subscription of a debit authorization to the Account, in favor of entities that you recognize as your creditors. The refunded amount confers income to the Holder and is subject to a withholding tax of 28%, the amount received through cashback corresponding to the value of the offer already deducted from such withholding tax. Regarding the percentage applicable to the cashback, in case of change of Plan by the Client, the percentage corresponding to the new integrated solution of products and banking services shall apply from the date of the change and, until this date, the percentage corresponding to the old conditions shall apply.
2 - Activo Viagem Cashback (30 days option) Refund of the Activo Viagem commission, 30-day option, in the amount of €3.99, for subscriptions in Card Accounts linked to the Current Account with AB Premium Plan at the time of subscription. The amount will be credited to the Current Account at the beginning of the month following the applicable subscription.
3 - AB Gold Credit Card The AB Gold Credit Card, issued in the name of an Account Holder, is exempt from the provision fee, and the issuance of the Credit Card is cumulatively dependent on the prior subscription of the Application Proposal and the General Terms of Card Use, by each applicant, and the respective acceptance by the Bank, subject to the Bank's free assessment of their creditworthiness. TAEG 17,9% | TAN 12,200% for a Loan of €1.500 paid in 12 equal monthly installments of capital plus interest and charges. Provision fee for the Credit Card is €35,88 (paid monthly in the amount of €2,99). Plus Stamp Duty. Subject to Credit risk analysis.
4 - Visa Classic Credit Card TAEG 17,9% | TAN 17,400% for a Credit limit of 1.500€ paid in 12 equal monthly installments of capital plus interest and charges. No provision fee. Subject to Credit Risk Analysis.
5 - Salary Advance Loan It is an authorized overdraft facility that allows you to have early access, on the first day of each month, to up to 100% of your salary, up to a maximum financed amount of €5.000. For example, for a utilized amount of €1,500 over 90 days at a nominal interest rate (TAN) of 11,500%, the interest would be €43.14, plus a Stamp Duty of €1.74, resulting in an effective Annual Percentage Rate (APR) of 12,6%. Stamp duty is exempted for Credit usage up to the amount of the monthly salary Credited to the Account. Subscription is only available for domiciled salaries of €750 or more. Subject to Credit decision. With the AB Plan, you have access to a reduction of the TAN to 0% for the first 3 months and a TAN of 9,000% for the following months that you have the AB Plan. The TAN update will be available on the first day of the month following the subscription, which can take up to 30 days. The reduction of the TAN to 0% can only be used in the first three months of the first subscription of a Plan.
6 - GALP Vouchers For each Client who holds an AB Plan as of the 25th of the previous month, discount vouchers worth 2€ each are granted (5 vouchers worth 2€ per month for AB Premium Plan and 2 vouchers worth 2€ per month for AB Plus Plan). Offer of 5 cents per liter up to 40 liters. Offer valid for fueling at participating Galp stations. The coupon cannot be cumulated with other valid coupons (paper or digital) at Galp stations. Not applicable to agricultural diesel, heating oil and payments with Galp Frota, Galp Frota Business and Galp+. Not available in automatic payment systems at the station (Via Verde and Pay & Go). You can access the vouchers through the ActivoBank App > More > InterActivo > Apoio AB.
7 - OSCAR Vouchers For each Client who holds an AB Plan as of the 25th of the previous month, discount vouchers worth 5€ each are granted (2 vouchers worth 5€ per month for AB Premium Plan and 1 voucher worth 5€ per month for AB Plus Plan). Coupon cannot be combined with other valid coupons. It is valid only for OSCAR App services of €20.00 or more and expires after one month from the date of issue. You can access the vouchers via email or SMS.
